Host Agreement
This agreement applies when you offer sessions on SnugTalk as a host. It adds to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Last updated October 13, 2026
1. Our relationship
You are an independent contractor. You are not an employee, partner or agent of SnugTalk. You decide when you are online, what you offer and what you charge. You provide your own device, internet connection and workspace. Nothing in this agreement guarantees a number of sessions or any income.
2. Who can host
- You are at least 18 years old. You can live anywhere PayPal can send payouts to you, as long as offering conversations like these is legal where you live.
- You confirm you are 18 or older when you sign up, and your profile, photos and intro video pass our manual review before your profile goes public.
- Payouts go only to a PayPal account in your own legal name, so your identity is confirmed by PayPal before you receive money.
- Before your first payout you give your legal name and tax information: IRS Form W-9 if you are a US citizen or resident, Form W-8BEN if you are not. Your legal name is never shown to guests.
- We may ask you to verify your age or identity with a government ID at any time, for example after a report. If you can’t, we pause your profile and hold earnings until it is resolved.
3. Your profile
- Photos must show you, clearly and recently: a front-facing, well-lit head-and-shoulders photo as your main picture. Portrait format (4:5), at least 1200 pixels tall.
- No other people, no heavy filters, no swimwear or revealing clothing, no suggestive poses.
- Describe what you actually offer. Do not claim to provide therapy, medical, legal or financial advice, even if you hold a license.
- No contact details, social handles or links to other platforms anywhere in your profile.
4. Rates and the platform fee
You set your prices within the ranges shown on your profile page: per minute for chats and talks, one price per 20-minute focus slot, or free. Guests get the first 60 seconds of each per-minute call free; after that, charges are prorated to the second. A focus slot is charged once it runs past its first two minutes.
SnugTalk keeps a 20% platform fee from what guests pay for your sessions. You earn the remaining 80%. The fee covers payment processing, video infrastructure, moderation, support and marketing. Your dashboard shows each session’s charge, the fee and your earnings.
5. Payouts
- Earnings appear in your dashboard after each completed session.
- You can request a payout once your available earnings reach $5. We pay to the PayPal account in your name; more payout methods may be added later.
- Payouts are usually sent within 7 business days of your request. Earnings from a session become available after the guest’s 7-day dispute window ends.
- The PayPal account must be in your own legal name, the same name as on your tax form (W-9 or W-8BEN).
- Availability bonus (optional). When the program is open, approved hosts can earn a bonus for time spent online. The amount, the block length and the weekly limit are shown on your dashboard before you apply. A block earns the bonus only if you were online long enough in it and didn’t miss a call; there are no other penalties. We may change or end the program with notice; bonuses already earned stay yours.
- We may hold earnings connected to an open report, a chargeback or suspected fraud until it is resolved, and we may deduct amounts refunded to guests because of your violation or no-show.
6. Taxes
You are responsible for your own taxes. Before your first payout you upload a tax form in your wallet: Form W-9 if you are a US citizen or resident, Form W-8BEN otherwise. Where US law requires it we report US hosts’ earnings to the IRS and send a Form 1099. We do not withhold income tax from your earnings. Your form is stored encrypted and only our team can see it.
7. Conduct during sessions
- Be on time for bookings, keep your camera on for video and focus-room sessions, and stay present.
- Keep every interaction friendly and respectful. No romantic, sexual or flirtatious behavior, ever, even if a guest asks for it. End the session and report it.
- Never ask for or accept payment, gifts or contact outside SnugTalk. This is the most serious violation on the platform and leads to removal.
- If a guest mentions self-harm or danger, stay calm, encourage them to call or text 988 or 911, and report the session so our team can follow up.
- Do not record or screenshot sessions or share anything a guest told you.
8. Suspension and ending
You can stop hosting at any time and request a payout of your available earnings. We may pause or remove your profile, or close your host account, if you break this agreement, the Terms or the law. For serious violations we may withhold earnings connected to them.
9. Changes
We will give you at least 14 days’ notice before changing the platform fee or payout terms. Other changes follow the process in the Terms of Service.
