Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you use SnugTalk, why we need it and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not record your video or voice sessions.

What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: email address, public display name, password or passkey, and your settings.
- Profile content for hosts: photos, intro video, bio, topics, languages and rates.
- Hosts only: confirmation that you are 18 or older, legal name, tax form (W-9 or W-8BEN) and PayPal payout account. If we ever ask for a government ID to confirm age or identity, we use it only for that check and delete the image once the check is done.
- Messages you send in text sessions and to support, and reports you file.
Information created when you use SnugTalk
- Session records: who, when, how long, format, rate and charges.
- Wallet records: top-ups, refunds, payouts. Card and bank details stay with the payment processor.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, screen size, language and time zone, approximate location from IP, the pages you visit on SnugTalk, and logs we need to keep the service secure and working. Visit records are deleted after 90 days.
Video and voice travel through our real-time media servers so the call can connect. We do not record them.
How we use it
- To run your account, connect sessions, bill per minute and pay hosts.
- To keep people safe: verify hosts, check age, prevent fraud and off-platform payment, review reports.
- To provide support and send service messages, such as receipts and security alerts.
- To improve SnugTalk using aggregated usage statistics.
- To send product news, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax reporting and responding to valid legal requests.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run SnugTalk, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- payment processing and payouts (PayPal);
- age or identity checks for hosts, only when we need to ask for one;
- a check of your IP address for VPNs, Tor and data centers when you sign up or try a free call, to prevent abuse;
- hosting, storage, email delivery and error monitoring.
Other users see only what is on your public profile, or your display name during a session. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
How long we keep it
- Account and profile data: while your account is open, and up to 90 days after you close it.
- Session, wallet and payout records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
- Text messages: 1 year, or longer if they are part of an open report.
- Security logs: up to 12 months.
Your choices and rights
You can see and edit most of your information in your settings, and you can delete your account at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to delete and correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. Residents of other states with privacy laws can make the same requests.
To make a request, email support@snugtalk.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we answer within 45 days.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in, remember your settings and protect against fraud. We do not use advertising cookies. The installed app keeps an offline copy of the site’s files on your device.
Security
Connections are encrypted, access to personal data is limited to the people who need it, and payment details never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Age
SnugTalk is only for adults 18 and older. If we learn that a person under 18 has an account, we close it.
Changes
We will post updates here and tell you about significant changes before they take effect.
