Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and SnugTalk (“we”, “us”). They cover the website https://snugtalk.com, the installed web app and every service we offer there. By creating an account or using SnugTalk you agree to them.

1. What SnugTalk is

SnugTalk is a marketplace for live conversations. Guests pay by the minute to talk with hosts over video, voice or text, or to work alongside a host in a focus room. Hosts are independent people who set their own rates and hours. They are not our employees or agents.

SnugTalk is friendly conversation and company. It is not therapy, counseling, medical, legal or financial advice, and it is not an emergency service. Hosts are not acting as licensed professionals on SnugTalk, even if they hold a license elsewhere. If you are in crisis in the United States, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.

SnugTalk is not a dating service. Romantic, sexual or flirtatious interaction is not allowed anywhere on the platform.

3. Wallet, billing and payments

Prepaid wallet

You pay for sessions from a prepaid wallet balance in US dollars. You add money with a payment method our payment processor supports (currently PayPal, including debit and credit cards processed by PayPal). The minimum top-up is $10. Wallet balance is not a bank account, does not earn interest, cannot be transferred to another user and can only be used on SnugTalk.

Per-minute rates

Each host sets a price for each kind of call: per minute, or one price per 20-minute focus slot, or free. The rate is shown on the host’s profile and on the call button before you start. The first 60 seconds of each per-minute call are free. After that, time is charged at the shown rate and prorated to the second. Charges stop when either person ends the session or the connection drops.

You must have enough balance to start a session. When your balance is about to run out we warn you, and if it reaches zero the session ends. You can add money during a session without hanging up.

We may limit the free first minute for accounts that repeatedly end calls before it runs out.

Payment processor

Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not see or store your full card or bank details. By paying, you authorize the processor to charge the amount you approve and you also agree to the processor’s own terms.

Refunds and disputes

Our Refunds & Disputes Policy explains when we refund unused balance and how to report a problem with a session. Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank or PayPal, so we can fix it quickly. If you open a chargeback for a payment that was used for sessions, we may suspend your account while it is reviewed.

Prices and taxes

Prices are in US dollars and include any taxes we are required to collect, unless shown otherwise. We may change our fees with notice. Changes never apply to a session already in progress.

4. Conduct

Everyone on SnugTalk must follow our Community Guidelines. In short, you must not:

You can end any session at any time, and you can report and block anyone. We review reports and may remove content, end sessions, withhold payments related to violations, suspend or close accounts.

5. Hosts

If you offer sessions as a host, the Host Agreement also applies to you. It covers verification, rates, the platform fee, payouts and taxes. If the Host Agreement and these terms conflict, the Host Agreement controls for host activity.

6. Your content and our service

You keep ownership of what you upload: profile photos, intro videos and messages. You give us a license to host, display and process that content only to run, moderate and promote SnugTalk (for example, showing a host’s profile in search). We do not record video or voice sessions. Text messages are stored so you can read them and so we can review reports.

The SnugTalk name, logo, design and software belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

7. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time from your settings or by writing to support@snugtalk.com. Unused balance is handled as described in the Refunds & Disputes Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or to protect users, and we will tell you why unless we are not allowed to.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We work hard to keep SnugTalk available and safe, but the service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, that any host will be online, or that a conversation will meet your expectations. Hosts are responsible for what they say and do.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to SnugTalk is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of SnugTalk.

9. Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, contact us first at support@snugtalk.com; most problems are solved quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable US federal law. Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using SnugTalk after the change, the new terms apply.
