Get paid to talk with people
We invite friendly, curious people to host conversations on SnugTalk as independent contractors. This is not a job and we aren't hiring employees: you work for yourself on our platform, choose when you're available and what you charge, and earn from the minutes guests spend with you.
What you could host
- Easy conversation. Chat with people about their day, their plans, a show, anything. Many guests simply want someone friendly to talk to.
- Language practice. Help learners speak English, or any language you speak natively or fluently.
- Focus time. 20-minute sessions on camera where you and a guest each work or study quietly: people who struggle to get started love it.
- A second opinion. Share an outside view on plans, studies, letters and big decisions, if that's your thing.
How working with us looks
- You set your own prices per minute (or make some calls free) and go online whenever it suits you.
- Guests pay by the minute; you keep 80% and withdraw to PayPal from $5.
- From time to time we run extras, like a bonus for hours spent online.
- As an independent contractor you handle your own taxes. The details are in the Host Agreement.
Who it suits
- Adults 18+ who enjoy conversation and are kind, patient and good listeners.
- You can live anywhere in the world PayPal can pay you. Before your first payout you fill in one IRS tax form: W-8BEN if you live outside the US, W-9 if you're a US citizen or resident. It takes a few minutes.
- A webcam and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet place to talk.
- Comfortable on video with people you're meeting for the first time.
